InsureNet and Nlets, (the National Law Enforcement Communications System) has announced the first and only National Insurance Status System to combat the tens of billions lost each year to vehicle insurance fraud. These massive losses dramatically impact every policyholder and taxpayer in the nation. This will enhance safety for Law Enforcement Officers as they will be provided insurance status prior to leaving their vehicle and DMVs, Insurance Commissioners, Toll way Systems and the Courts can be provide with complete and accurate data. Hosted and controlled by Nlets, the InsureNet is available for use without charge by any and all law enforcement officers. All U.S. vehicle insurers are likewise, encouraged to provide status data to the system and can do so without charge. They can use any of the numerous methods and formats they use currently, and there is no requirement to purchase any new additional software or hardware, initiate special procedures, or maintain special codes or software in any location.
